Seems that all teen have attitudes, it’s in the chemistry. They can’t help it, their friends do it, heck even you the parents do it from time to time. Some teens think the louder they yell the better they are heard. It’s rather funny; they will yell and repeat and repeat.

Ok moms and dads keep you cool, part of all this is hormones. Face it the babes are growing. They are becoming young adults. In this time they are also experiencing their independence. They are testing the waters so to speak.

By sitting down and talking with them, yes talk no yelling allowed. Set examples don’t press matters but just has for a minute of their time. Keep your cool, remember you are the adult and all those years you flew off the handle, they are mocking it. So now they are older, show them talk. They will learn quicker, now that they are a bit older.

If you want a positive out come you need to be flexible. If you want something from them you have to give a little. Sometimes it something simple that can get the right outcome, maybe give an extra half hour on their curfew, but tell them in that if they break the agreement that they will have consequences to pay. Lay it on the line, now they can understand.

Teens love to negotiate. Deal with them be flexible, but in this be sure you are getting what you want in the end.
