The second mortgage is the second loan that is secured against your home. It at any time a home owner requires a large amount of money they can take this loan. It is not advisable to take this loan indiscriminately as you are putting your home at risk to have two loans secured against it. It is a good idea to first count the cost of the loan before you take one. Make quite sure that the project you have in mind is worth the expense of the loan. This loan has a higher interest rate than the first mortgage and loan charges also apply.
