Power Tools with No Power

Is it possible for power tools to have a large drop in force? Of course it is. I know most of us would desire other wise, but regrettably, the nature of the power tool doesn't allow it to last for eternity. What do you do though when this happens? Do you run to the nearest Home Depot and buy a brand new one? I would hope not, I would hope that you would have had enough time to make a bond with that power tool to care enough to fix it up. Most people however feel that it is easier to bond with a brand new one then one that has bit the dust. I don't blame you, but power tools shouldn't be treated like milk gone bad. Power tools should be treated like your precious car. If your car breaks down, what do you do? Most of us would take it in and replace whatever part impeded it from working.

To make my point I must mention this mostly true story. Roxy is 11 years old and has been through many lengthy trips, mostly traveling from her college apartment carport to her much bigger summer garage. She has helped a number of siblings get through college and has never complained much about doing it. Sometimes though, Roxy would get a little restless from all the work she had to do and would sometimes have a "break down." However, after she got her relaxation and had a few parts restored, she was back at it like new.

This is the best solution for your worn out power tools. Replacement parts are easy to order and are usually pretty easy to replace. Not only would you be cashing in on more money by not replacing the complete tool, but you would also be able to give life back to those power tools that you've probably already bonded with from all the years of home improvement. Maybe you are the charitable type and have let your neighbors borrow them and its time for some to be replaced. By some I don't mean the neighbors but the power tools. It would be a lot easier to tell your neighbor to buy you some porter cable tool parts instead of telling him to replace all your porter cable tools.

There is a holiday coming up where fathers are celebrated and DeWALT power tools, Porter Cable generator parts, and Porter Cable cordless drill parts become hot products for gifts. Since the price of gas has killed all of our monthly budgets, you don't have to go and buy a complete power tool for your Dad, just find out what power tools he has that are of need of some replacement parts. It could be that he has a Porter Cable cordless drill that needs some parts. Find him the right tool parts to get them going again. There can't be a nicer thing to do instead of finding time to fix up some of his cherished DeWALT or Makita power tools.

It seems like good father son relationships are a rare thing in the world today. With so many better more exciting things to do such as playing video games and surfing the web, kids today are losing touch with what the most important things in life. I imagine we will see a large drop in the number of "handyman" guys around in the future because they never have used a power tool and their dads don't spend the time to teach them to be hard workers. When will they get to experience the joy that accomplishing something or building something brings, besides making a thousand

Whether you wanted it or not, now you have an idea on what to do with those power tools that are taking up the space in your work area. Just remember, almost everything can be fixed by using the right parts. That is, everything except our dear friend Roxy. She will no longer hit the open road. Some of her parts just aren't fixable anymore. Well, they definitely are, it is just not worth it to fix her again. What is even worse is that soon she will be resting in pieces.
