Most net surfers don't mind reading web pages with ads. They understand income from ads is the incentive which encourages bloggers and webmasters keep posting good contents on the pages.

But as a blogger or webmaster, you should consider who would be your targeted visitors before implementing what kind of ads alongside your contents. There are at least two kinds of online surfers. Those who are young and surf for fun and those who want useful information to satisfy their needs.

Young people, teenager, fun seekers like things that are dynamic, moving, cute. Therefore if they are your targeted visitors, you may put in animated ads, floating ads, or even ads pop up with sound effect and music whenever the mouse pointer lays over a certain spot. This may create certain surprising effect and these people like surprises.

However, such ads are very annoying to information seekers. They find those sound, music and pop up ads creating troubles on their quest for finding informative contents. And these ads are actually blocking their sight on certain paragraphs.

So if you aim at attracting information seekers, I suggest you to avoid putting such ads and sound effects on your web pages. These promotion approaches wouldn't produce any positive result, and will only blow the traffic away from you site.
