In the past, the mobile phone was just a glorified walkie-talkie and only had the capacity to communicate by voice – and even then it wasn’t very consistent. The industry has made grade strides in developing stronger, more reliable handsets.
In the last few years, with computer technology increasing exponentially, and with consumer demands growing as well, manufacturers have found ways to put the working for of a laptop in the palm of your hand. It has introduced technology that will allow text messages sent to a mobile phone to be converted to voice if the phone doesn’t have texting capacity. Now any mobile phone can receive a message from a computer or other text capable phone.
Telephones are becoming an ever increasing piece of society. As an “on the move” population seeks to stay in touch no matter where they go or what they are doing, the telephone will only grow in importance. Companies on the leading edge of the industry, like BT Phones, will continue to push the envelope in features and function of the phones they introduce.
