And to be honest, I've heard many that can be actually proven, one reason just doesn't sit right with me.
I've heard a lot of people say that weight gain is genetic, but I'll prove to you right now that it isn't...
Although it is true that certain genetic information can be passed on from parents to chikldren, it's not
possible that obesity is one of those traits. A genetic trait is something thta is a part of your DNA. This
means it simple cannot be changed because it is a part of your overall makeup.
Think about it - how many methods do you know of aside from surgery or contact lenses that will allow you
do change your eye color? Exactly - NONE.
You can't do it unless you use an external method to do so. But if you chose to, you can change your
weight through exercise and diet. Even though you were born from semi-obese or incredibl thin parents,
you cam change the size and wy your body looks.
Let's look at another genetic factor - your height.
Once your done growing, you'll stay at the height you are for the majority of your life. Whether you're 5'3"
or 6'3", once you're done growing you'll be at that height for the rest of your life.
Now, can you change how tall you are? Yes, but through external means only such as hogh heeled shoes
or shoe lift inserts for men. Aside from that, you can't change your height.
If you want one more example, think about the color of your hair. Now, there are hundreds of methods to
change your hair available today. You can dye it, spray it, color it, and even have surgery to have your hair
changed.
But all those means are external. If your were a baby born with black hair, you can bet on having black
hair for the rest of your life unless you plan on coloring your hair through external means. Aside from that,
it's not gonna happen.
The point I'm trying to make here is that even though some people say weight gain is genetic, it's not. You
can change the shape and weight of your body any time you want without surgery or anything of that
nature. All it takes is a little time and effort to make the changes.
