Buying gifts for a man "of a certain age" can sometimes be difficult - especially if that man is your father. You got him a new beard trimmer for Christmas and the James Bond film on DVD for his last birthday - so what does that leave for Father's Day? Many people limit their father's day presents to a simple card or a box of chocolates. But this doesn't have to be the case; after all, Father's Day is a day that's dedicated to fathers, providing the ideal chance to show your dad how much you appreciate him.
If your father loves gadgets, get him something functional - like an auto card manager, perhaps. An auto card manager allows a person to carry all their important cards in one place, providing a more organised and compact carrying case than a wallet. Alternatively, a Swiss Army hunter knife is sure to go down a treat, especially if your father loves the great outdoors. With a corkscrew, bottle opener, wire stripper, woodsaw, scissors and a variety of blades and tools, your dad will never find himself lost in the wilderness again!
Alternatively, if you're hoping to appeal to your dad's gastronomic senses on Father's Day, you'll find a wide range of food and drink-related gifts from which you can choose. For instance, why not buy your dad some personalised beer glasses - so no one will ever forget which glass is his! A food hamper is also sure to go down well, especially if you tailor it to meet the needs of his favourite meal. For instance, if your father likes barbeques, get him a hamper of gourmet barbeque marinating sauces. Or buy him a luxury beer bucket, complete with bar snacks, for a Father's Day gift he's sure to be grateful for!
Of course, if your father is a sports fan, there's one thing that he's sure to love above all else - a ticket to his favourite sporting event. A ticket to see a Centre Court match at Wimbledon, for instance, is a Father's Day present that he won't readily forget. Or if your dad's an avid football supporter, buy him a season ticket for his favourite football club.
And if you're looking for a more unique gift, get him a ticket to an international football game, perhaps a World Cup or European qualifying match. And, to seal the deal for Father's day, you could also get him a replica
World Cup strip in the colours of his favourite nation. This way, not only will he feel like a true football supporter, he'll also be left in no doubt as to how much you appreciate him.
