Online businesses are fast emerging as the hottest work options all
over the world. The most attractive idea of making money from the comforts
of your home is the key pulling factor. Well, if you are an Indian you
may be charmed by the possibility of earning fat bucks in dollars. You
also have no time frames like 9-5. It all depends on you. Besides that
you do not need to invest much from your pocket. It is your brain that
puts in intellectual capital and skill that further gets you the money.
Though there are many works one can perform from home like freelance
writing, data entry etc, there is an interesting concept called “Internet
marketing” also known as Web marketing.” Internet marketing is a
popular form of e-commerce that works for customer patronization. This is a

process wherein the website needs to score on ‘search engine
optimization’ (SEO), and is high on ‘content and information.’

The concept works like this: A business house develops a particular
website with relevant content, information and keywords. This website is
usually a user friendly one and seeks maximum traffic. As the website
lists higher on search engines it has a certain traffic plugging in. The
website is well designed with various advertisements and affiliate
links on its pages. As the person bumps into an attractive offer he clicks
on the advertisements or links and makes a purchase. The website
proprietor is the man who makes the commission in the end. You don’t need to
be a business man to market products. As a happy-go-lucky chap you can

develop an attractive website and be the middleman. One can also open a
blog or a news website with a team of writers to bring in traffic
there.

Steps in internet marketing
1. Research
A person needs to research well for the websites theme, content,
keywords, designing, etc. He must have a specific goal in mind. A business
value and goal should be on your agenda. Moreover ensure that it is
specific.

2. Creating a website
Next up you create a suitable website based on your needs and targets.
Hiring an expert to do it may be smart if you can do it in an
economical amount. If not, you can look for strategies to design your own
website. Several books and online web pages have the necessary information on
this topic.

2. Content development
The next step is to develop the right content for your website.
Remember that the content must be apt and attractive. You can hire content
writers, copywriters, etc for the job.

3. Using email services
Customer service is the most important part of a job. A regular email
service about your organisation and its services help build trust with
your customer.

Various techniques by which you can earn commissions are:
1. Pay per click technique
2. Affiliate linking
3. SEO

Once all the main necessities are taken of traffic automatically comes
in. Big commissions will be earned and money will come ringing in. If
you keep the pros and cons in mind and keep updating you website and
keep up your goodwill you can continue sitting at home.
