If you fancy a change from the usual package holiday with its overly large hotels, beach upon beach filled with seemingly endless rows of loungers, shop after shop filled with the usual tourist paraphernalia, well you get the picture; this is the destination for you.

A wave of transformation has swept the village and left a bustling, vibrant town in its wake. There are many individually-designed villas, surrounded by large Mediterranean gardens. Many filled with Palms, the violet-blue of the Jacaranda in May and June, the reds and pinks of Hibiscus, the profusion of Oleander, the carpets of Bougainvillea with it’s vivid mass of pink flowers and, even in January, the staggering vermilion spikes of the Pulpo cactus

La Nucia is a world away from the concrete jungles found commonly throughout much of Costa Blanca. Here is a place to unwind, relax and live an altogether different type of lifestyle that will leave you hungry for more.

There is much culture to be found, whether you have a penchant for orchestral music or something altogether different, you can find it in the 600 seat concert hall. Maybe you prefer something a little more “outdoors”, why not visit the 3000 seat open air auditorium. There are also several art galleries to be found in and around La Nucia and much in the way of history dotted around just waiting to be found.

If you tire of this and find yourself with an appetite for something a little more touristy, you are still only 5km away from Benidorm and its beaches, theme parks and café’s.

There seems to be little danger of this happening, especially with the large array of culinary styles available throughout the town. Be it a traditional Paella or maybe some of the delicious locally produced sausage such as; Sobrasada, Llonganissa or Butifarra de ceba, there’s something to suit everyone.

Something that may perhaps interest certain of you is the 2 International standard golf courses in nearby Benidorm. Whatever you’re interested in I’m sure you’ll find it.

Research the area a little further and you may come across a beautiful villa with a ground floor garden apartment available to hire, namely Los Archos. An enchanting property set in a large secluded and peaceful garden, with complete use of the garden, terrace, pool and barbeque. The owners Caroline and Philip Spires live on site in the 2nd floor apartment, should you need any help or simply fancy a chat with Philip an Author with published works and many an interesting story to tell from his worldwide travels.

The apartment will sleep up to 5 people is traditionally furnished and has 2 large double bedrooms; the blue and the yellow room, a lovely personal touch from the owners in a property that has obviously been lovingly and tastefully decorated to result in the perfect finish.

Everything you could possibly need is close at hand; from the blue flag beaches of Costa Blanca a mere 10 minute drive away to the local supermarket and facilities which can be found within short walking distance, its all here.

Why not consider a stay in this wonderful area and what better place to choose than this. All in all, it makes for a holiday you will never forget.
