When I first came across Beauty 4 Ashes Christian Health & Beauty’s SkinGenesis line, I was intrigued. My name was so unique it caught my attention; I had also heard some good things about on Ivillage. As a more “mature” woman, who had smoked in her early twenties, I was looking for a product that would make my skin more youthful, soft, even toned, and firm without stripping it of nutrients it needed to avoid dryness and dullness. After I discovered my music minister’s wife (who is 54 and looks 32 by the way), was using the SkinGenesis line, I mustered the courage to try the products.

I first tried the SkinGenesis “Face Lift in a Bottle.” I was somewhat skeptical because it was an oil moisturizer. However, when I used it, I was surprised. It didn’t leave my face feeling greasy. The moisturizer was lightweight, smelled great, and went easily into my skin. My skin looked renewed after immediate use. Over the next 2 months, I saw fine lines around my eyes and mouth and creases in my forehead fade. My skin also had a natural, not shiny, glow. My husband began sniffing my face, asking me what perfume I was wearing; and my 22 year old daughter, who is terrified of wrinkles, started slipping into my bathroom every morning to use it. Both her and my skin looks better than ever.

Would I recommend this product? Yes. At $34.99 for 4 oz, I thought that it would break the bank. However, I have purchased similar aging products, like Philosophy’s Hope in Jar, which is 2 oz, for the same price. Both are great. However, the SkinGenesis line is all natural and contains no chemical preservatives or ingredients whatsoever.

Who knew natural ingredients found in your cupboard or backyard, like Lavender, Frankincense, Rosehip, Fennel, Grapeseed Oil, and Shea Oil could make your skin look so good!
