It can seem hard at first, it sure did for me. When I first got started I could feel my stomach began to gnaw at me, I thought about giving up and going back to the easy nine to five job, except my day was a twelve hour day because I drove truck. Don’t get me wrong, I love driving truck but I never got to see my kids and I really missed that. I was between a rock and a hard spot. How could I change all that? My desire for more freedom was what kept me going.
I put a lot of time and effort into setting up the programs and web pages, making contacts, getting my name out there, but in doing so learned a lot of neat things. I realized that I had time to do my work and still be with my kids. Now I work only a few hours a week and have all I need for the family and much, much more.
The freedom and money I now have to do the things I want when I want to do them is by far the best reason for doing eCommerce and well worth the time I put into getting started. You might say “Not bad for a working Mom with a few skills”; I say “Not bad for someone with lots of ambition (drive, desire, HUNGER … ).
