Saab will take its BioPower range particularly its 9-3 SportCombi in a whole new market and that is in the mobile phone game arena.
The producer of top-of-the-line Saab floor mats, Saab will call this new mobile phone game as BioPower Challenge wherein players will get to drive, only virtually of course a Saab 9-3 BioPower SportCombi between two locations in the shortest possible time. The said game has three different levels to play. There is what you call the Inland which involves driving from Gothenburg to Trollhattan; Coast which requires driving from Trollhattan to the Swedish village of Fiskebackskil which also happens to be the very same place where the new Saab 9-3 are to be launched this summer; and lastly is the Mountain where players will get to experience driving on icy road from Narvik in Norway to Jukkasjarvi in Sweden. The fastest driver wins.
Also players of the BioPower Challenge will get the chance to compare their results with other players around the world by simply submitting their results to a global “high score” list.
As part of Saab’s promotion of its eco-friendly vehicles, the cars in the game are to be fuelled by either bioethanol or petrol. But in real life it is better to choose bioethanol since it gives more power and performance when used in Saab BioPower cars.
The new Saab BioPower Challenge is to be launched in week 28 in conjunction with the international tennis tournament in Bastad. For those who are interested in this new exciting Saab game, it will be made available via SMS text. To download the BioPower Challenge mobile phone game, simply text SAAB to 71747 in Sweden and +46 737 494 050 for countries across Europe. By the end of July the game will also be available at www.saab.com.
Saab has currently the leading position in the growing European segment for flex-fuel vehicles plus it’s the only manufacturer to offer environmentally friendly models of all its cars in Europe. Saab’s BioPower make use of a combination of turbocharging with bioethanol or E85 to obtain power and performance along with a significant low fossil carbon dioxide emission as compared to when running on petrol.
Aside from the new Saab BioPower Challenge mobile phone game, Saab has also announced that there would be some radical changes that are in stored for its 9-3 sedan. It will get an updated styling based on the Aero X concept car with an extra 30 hp for the optional turbo V6 plus an optional all-wheel-drive for the 9-3 and SportCombi wagon.
