It is formulated and developed in our own laboratories due to the demand for a high-tech sealer that is impervious to all fuels, including the new Stage 2 fuels, which have higher alcohol content. It has superior strength and fuel resistance, and does not contain Methyl Ethyl Ketone, a highly flammable and deadly carcinogen (cancer-causing).

Some typical problems resulting in the need for sealing include (but are not limited to): rust due to years of non-use, tanks containing gum, varnish, or caked sludge deposits, tanks with pinholes or leaking seams.

By acting as a non-porous barrier coat between the metal tank and moisture from the air, KBS Gold Standard Tank Sealer stops rust, corrosion and leaks permanently. It will chemically bond to metal surfaces, even if they’re rusty. It is also a flexible coating, allowing for expanding and contracting due to weather change as well as gas temperature change. As well as being flexible, it is also so strong that it will not crack, chip or peel.

KBS Coatings offers the Tank Sealer in a variety of sizes to best meet the needs and size of your specific tank. They also have various kits available depending on the condition and size of your tank. The process is a simple one: clean the tank with AquaKlean, etch it with RustBlast, seal the tank with the KBS Gold Standard Tank Sealer, rolling the tank around to evenly coat all sides, and drain the excess.
