Everyone deserves a little pampering on occasion and what could be a more enjoyable gift than a spa gift basket? If your container (and your budget) allows, you can include a plush bath towel, robe, or spa slippers. In addition to body products, a CD of relaxation music, a book of poetry, or a pretty picture frame are also nice gifts you may want to include. Don't forget the scented candles as well as more unique aromatherapy gifts like potpourri, sachets, or incense.
Some variation of a wicker basket is the usual container for bath, aromatherapy, or spa gift baskets. However, a large decorative flowerpot is a nice alternative. Straw, artificial ivy, or purchased shred are nice filler materials. It's quite easy to assemble gifts in a flowerpot because it's deep enough to hold tall items upright. For shorter gift items, simply place some extra filler material beneath them. Instead of a bow or ribbon, place several silk flowers amongst the gift items.
You may want to make some bath products to include in a spa gift basket. There are many recipes online for making these products. The easy and quick way is to make herbal bath soaks or sachet by filling small muslin bags which are available at many craft stores. Make sure you tie the filled bags tightly with twine, raffia, or narrow ribbon.

Create a romantic spa gift basket for a couple as a special occasion gift by adding scented massage oil and a bottle of wine or champagne.
For less expensive gifts, shop at your local dollar store. Look for small wicker or wire baskets, artificial flowers, shred, ribbon, and bath products, candles, and other small gift items.
