The region is Nunavut and includes Rankin inlet, Kugluktuk, Cambridge bay, reolute and igaluit.

Many of the animals are found along the sea edge as it melts from May to June.
You can view some parts of the area by dogsled or a quamutiik pulled by a snowmobile.

Fish through the ice,

The area has national parks where you will see plenty of caribou. Many tours provide all the equipment.

Millions of raptors and seabirds. Best time for birding is late May through August.

The culture in Nunavut includes the living Intuit culture, the world's best Caribou Stew, great art, drum dancers.

Peak season to sea animals and area while ice breaks up is July and August.

May-June.

The whales are migrating through the natural funnel of Lancaster Sound. Birds returning
to Bylot Island Bird Sanctuary. A good time of year to visit Archeological Sites at Cape Dorset.

July-August.

Sea is now clear for kayaking as far north as the national park just north of Ellesmere Island.

August-September

Halycon Days of feeding and flying before vthe geat migration begins. There is still time during this season for camping and Hiking and experience the living Intuit Culture.
