Meetings have had proven track records of creating sales in the past, but as more people are feeling the crushing weight of their schedules, it makes less sense today. Thanks to many changes in the marketplace there are more effective ways to build your business.

3 Reasons You Can Ditch Doing Business Opportunity Meetings Forever

1) People Don’t Want to Come To Them. Haven’t you noticed that it’s hard to get people to meetings? That’s because people don’t really want to go. If most of us are honest, we’d rather be somewhere else to. Personally, I’d rather spend time with my family or actually working on something that will help me more effectively build my business. Let me ask you a question, if you could do anything you wanted, would you choose to give up one more night? Of course you wouldn’t. The only question is, if I don’t do meetings then how do I do my business? That’s fair. We’ll come to that later.


2) Meetings take up a lot of time. If time were money, then meetings are probably draining a lot of yours. Why would you go to meetings if you don’t have any prospects? It doesn’t make any sense. Are you in business, or are you there to support someone’s ego. Let me ask you a question. What’s more effective, spending most of your evening with 1 or 2 prospect to take them to a meeting or talking to 10 new prospects in a fraction of the time? With most network marketing companies going global it makes little sense to focus locally. You can put 30 people on a conference call and never get dressed. You’ll have no commute, and no wasted time.

3) Highly motivated prospects that come to you don’t need to be sold. Business Opportunity Meetings are for prospects, who, need to be sold. I personally don’t want to work with anyone who has to be sold. I only work with people who are already hungry for what I have. They don’t need a meeting.


I want to be the guy behind the counter that asks, “Would you like an apple pie with that”? A good prospecting system will generate plenty of highly interested inbound prospects who are coming to you asking for more information. Then it will educate your prospects in your system and pre-sell them on your business. It will also offer ways for your prospects to become your customers.

When you have a system like that, then you can ditch your business opportunity meetings forever, and just enjoy an extra night with your family.
