Having solid practice plans will allow you to track what topics you have already covered, y as well as know where you want to go in the future. Making sure to plan it out on paper allows you to track everything you have covered, and keep track of what you still need to cover in the future.
Each drill you plan at practice should have the element of familiarity and fit into the larger context of a soccer game, while at the same time progressing to new levels. If you do not have practice plans this will not occur, and players will be unlikely to learn and develop their game.
Coaches without a real strategy for practice are doing their players a disservice. If you are a coach, you owe it to your team to put much effort into developing a plan for training your team or purchasing another more experienced coach’s soccer practice plans
