MMS or Multimedia Messaging Service enables combining and sending images, texts and sounds using a single message. It seems like bringing the real world effect within our palm – the world of color, sound and action.

Image messaging

Image messaging helps us to express our extremities of visualization. Using this feature we are able to send and to receive pictures. The only requirement is that the handset must be MMS supported. Additionally, if the phone has a camera with it, it adds another dimension, because it then allows us to take personalized pictures and send them to whomever we want. It is indeed a great way to walk through memory lane or grabbing some family events that we missed out.

Enhanced text messaging

MMS service also extends an enhancement in text messaging service with an elongated text messaging option along with ability to attach audio, video or image files into text message. There is no change in the quality of the text messaging, the additional feature includes the attachment of multimedia contents like video and audio clippings or animated graphics.

Audio Messaging

MMS messaging enables attaching sound files with text or picture messages. Additionally, we may attach existing sound files or recorded sound files to any of the text messages, and send those messages to different users who are able to receive such MMS enabled messages.

Online Album

In most of the cases, the service providers allow its users to access Multimedia Messaging Service Centre through Web. It offers online album facilities which incorporate different useful features like viewing, storing, composing, downloading, receiving as well as forwarding different types of multimedia contents. Examples of multimedia contents include polyphonic ring tones, images, logos as well as short video and audio clips. Such contents can be forwarded using the web media or directly through the mobile itself.
