The delicate, eye-catchy look with an admirable call quality inclusive of Bluetooth technology, Sony Ericsson W880i comes with a walkman player along with 2 mega-pixel in-built camera facilities. Known to the market as walkman phone, Sony Ericsson W880i offers a flexible slim cool look with decent features.

Design & Features

Come at the most sleekest design with a size of 4 inches X 1.8 inches X 0.4 inches, it can be hold in the hand with most comfortable fashion. However, it weighs extremely light, say 2.5 ounces, but it feels like solid and strong. This model is available in two color formats –

· Black-&-Orange
· Silver-&-Black

The phone display covers approximately 1.75 inches of area and it supports 262,144 colors. The color depth is so nice that it vividly displays texts and images well. However, the users can only customize the brightness mode of the phone.

The text size differs according to its implementations. For example, the message text is significantly smaller compared to the dialed text. The texts come with menu system is simple in its implementation and not padded with heavy graphical complexities.

Sony Ericsson W880i includes 1000 contact entries with five phone numbers along with other details per entry. Featured with Walkman handset, it offers an exclusive room for voice recorder, text and image messaging, notepad, timer, calendar, alarm, world clock, calculator, stopwatch and speakerphone.

The Drawbacks

Being so adorable yet lacks the overall attractions where the question comes with the navigation system; Sony Ericsson W880i makes its users frustrated to some extent. The keys are very small to use. The navigation toggle and central OK button are raised above the actual surface of the phone. The top and bottom edge of the toggle have the tangible ridges. But the preferred mode is of course much bigger than the existing one.

Covering the toggles, there are two soft keys, denoting the back and clear buttons. These represent web browser shortcuts as well as an activity control menu. These soft keys are also tangible in nature, however very small in size.

Another difficulty comes with the area where power icon is concerned. Rather than comes with individualized power icon, it combines with the clear button and makes the feature more complicated than usual. It seems so small and so hard to find out that in almost all the cases we can not find it out without the help of the manual given just to open the phone.
