Anyone looking for a way to make some extra cash could attempt many worse opportunities than to earn money with paid online surveys. Of all the work from home opportunities available very few result in people not falling victim to a scam. Envelope stuffing, data entry, home assembly and type at home jobs will all simply leave you out of pocket and as another victim to a work from home scam. Paid online surveys aren't a scam and you can earn money but don't rush off just yet as many sites aren't worth the hassle.
If you seriously want to earn money with paid online surveys then you will need to get yourself access to a list of companies but this isn't just a case of using the first one you find on a search engine. Many list are poor in one way or another, whether they are a paid membership list or free you may still feel you've been scammed if you opt for the wrong surveys site.
Many sites contain a list which is full of out dated links which no longer work, companies that offer no real incentives such as points, and a lack of a privacy policy meaning they can sell on your details to third parties. This is how many of the so called free lists make there money as personal details are now big business.
Another way free sites make money is by taking a percentage of each survey you participate in, so if a legit company offers you a $20 survey you may get the same survey from a free list yet be told it is only worth $8. Trust me, the free sites aren't as generous as they would have you believe.
You can get a list of directories at my blog that have all been checked out and tested to see how good they really are. Even legitimate directories however aren't guaranteed to give you all you need to earn money with paid online surveys as only very few actually contain the companies that offer the best paying surveys available.
Without the best paying surveys the most you can probably hope for is the occasional $5 or $10 survey with the majority of surveys you are offered been for prize draw entries and sweepstakes. Now I believe some of the prizes are worth 15 minutes of your time especially as you will have very little competition but that should be a bonus and not the main incentive you hope to find when taking surveys, that aim is to earn money with paid online surveys and for that you really need to use the best list available.
