To make matters simpler, the idea that the author of the said paper wants to set up under the following heading is that the natural sciences are given a kind of superiority as compared to the social sciences. This is due to the fact that the natural sciences are invariable when it comes to talk about the object of study, therefore its object of study can recur, but never change. Talking about the social sciences, since the essence of society is to alter; its object of study is connected with the notion of variability. However, the author emphasized that there is a social science that can be regarded as invariable, and that is already in the sphere of economics. In addition to what has been already said , the author set the believe that the only dissimilarity in the variability between the social sciences and the natural ones is that of extend, if we mean the real world and not just the theory of sociology.

Having a closer look at the matter in question, we may confidently say that there is in fact a great difference between the two sciences when talking about the variability of their object of study. For explaining or forecasting some particular events happening in the real world a number of really important factors should be taken into consideration and also they all should be thoroughly investigated before making any final conclusion which can be put in a claim for being considered to be some well - established truths in this particular sphere of science.
