The quasi government organizations are the institution which are dependent from the government and consist of the agencies and other subjects from public and private sector. These organizations have a big influence power in the tourist sector and the government decisions always takes into consideration the interest and the opinion of the public tourist sector.
The most famous and the most powerful quasi organization in the United Kingdom is the British Association of British Travel agents, usually known as ABTA. The ABTA has the responsibility to the promoting Britain abroad. The ABTA is sponsored by the government . It was established in the year 1950 with the aim of supporting the development of tourist sector of British economy. The staff of the ABTA consists of the members from the government bodies and also from the travel agencies and tourist operators. In order to effective control the tourist sector the ABTA has devised the several document, such as: The Tour Operators Code of Practice, The Travel agents` code of practice, The BTA Conciliation Scheme and The ABTA Arbitration Scheme.
The other powerful quasi government tourist organization is the Ramblers Association, but the peculiarity of this body is that it belongs to the voluntary sector. The main aim of the Ramblers Association is to attract the attention of the authorities to the problems of countryside tourism. All these organizations lobby the local and national governments to consider the objects of their members. But its principal relations of the quasi organization with the government is the donations and grant that they receive.
All the quasi organization have to keep the rules of the policies and follow all the national laws.
