There are thirteen Regional Tourist Boards in the United Kingdom - ten in England and tree in Wales. These organizations are autonomous, but they have some common programs connected with the information policy such as The Tourist Information center system. They become the costs from many different commercial entertainments, which are related with the tourist business. The RTB also carry on there own profitable business and receive the money resources from the national and regional government as grants and subventions. The main aims and objectives of the RTB are:
-to observe all the peculiarities of the tourism business in the region;
-to control all the organizations involved into the tourism sphere in the region;
-to inform the National Board about the events in the region connected with the development of tourism sphere, and also about the local policy and the other aspects in this sector;

-to control the local informational systems as a part of national network;
-to advertise the inland and overseas tourism;
There are also local authorities in the sphere of tourism. The responsibilities of them are: to supply the travel services; to promote the area as the object of the tourism; to defend the historical heritage: to direct the local tourism statistic; to keep the safety of the environment; to check the safety of the local transport system; to license the transport companies and the travel agencies; to keep in order the accommodations, shopping and entertainment centers; to observe the purity of the air and of the water.
Probably the most widespread form of the local government control in the tourism business is the supervision in the hotel services. The main are the requirements of the safety and hygiene. Besides, the prices should be fixed, the hotel complexes must be regularly controlled and inspected and the staff must be professional and polite.
