Home based business oppertunities are without a doubt the most hyped source of information you can get. The online marketing techinques used will have us believe that every system is the best. Every system will make money online; thousands, even millionsof $$$, and all of them contain a secret and a proven system. With all these systems available, what are we to think. Everybody will tell you there are thousands of scammers out there that gives you only half the information, that makes you half succeed but forces you to come back for more. They will tell you that their system reveals it all. What is the truth behind it all? What are we to believe or discard as scams?
To answer this we have to look at the internet as a world. In this cyberspace world there are rules and regulations, just as there are in the real world we live in. These rules guide our actions on the internet. In the real world we have laws governing behaviour and business, you cannot commit fraud in the real world, the same applies for the cyber world. For this article, I would like to focus on the internet. The rules that govern business on the internet are pretty straight forward, don't lie, and don't spam. These are the most pertinent rules, if you fail to adhere to these rules you will soon lose credibility and this will hurt your enterprise. Spamming is a very serious offence in cyber world. You can get blacklisted for spamming which will get you banned from adding your site to the search engines, so be sure not to indulge in this. This said, I'd like to come back to the question. I believe that most(not all) programs and systems offer some sort of system that works. I do not think that one is neccesarily better than the other, I believe that the system or the originator of the program is selling his system using his techniques, and they worked for him. This system might not work for you. Let me explain: The one system might base a lot of its strength on article advertising. Another system might focus on blogging as the winnning marketing system. The fact is these are two different sets of advertising, and cannot be grouped under the same category. People that read articles want something different from people that read blogs. People that read an article expects the information to be formatted differently from the individual that reads a blog. Your aproach to these systems should be different. You might find that when you copy and paste an article into a blog that the response to the article in the blog space is not as promising as the response to the same article in the article space. It does not have anything to do with the content, it is more about style. Exactly what style to use in the article or blog will depend on the blog or article site itself. For instance, you should not post an amature funny story article into a highly scientific article sight. I guarentee that your article will not get the desired results.
What does this mean? Each online business oppertunity carries its own merit. Some of them will work for you and others will not. This is determined by you. If you hate writing and composing, business systems that focus on blogging and article writing for success are not going to work for you. You writing will show your feelings. On the other hand if this is your strong point then these systems will probably appeal to yo and you will make a success using them. Another example would be systems that use clasified ads. Now I know that there are many people that say this mode of advertising is useless to make money, yet the clasified add sites are always busy. Now You and me might not have the patience to submit adds around the clock but there are people that do it and they get reasonable results for doing this. My opinion on these are that they are a fruitless waste of energy, but some will swear by them. The same can be said for FFA sites(free for all). Their effectiveness is not all that rosy, unless you can take the time to visit them around the hour. This is not something I would suggest, your energy is better spent on some other advertising methods.
If we are talking about business oppertunities, why am I carrying on about marketing. Because most of these systems are about marketing. The systems you buy in order to sell again, either as an affiliate or as resell packages are information systems. They teach the recipients how to market. This might be a total let down to many online business seekers, but it shouldn't be, because thousands of people are looking for this information. This brings us to what business on the internet is all about. I'd guess that ninety percent of all business on the net is information selling. Think about this for a second. Why are you reading this article. It is because you are looking for information on something. If I expand this article into chapters and deal with the various subjects I touched on here, I can compile an e-book and market it as an information product. If you were looking for the information I present in this e-book you would purchase it from me. I would make my online sale and so make money. I could further add this book in an affiliate program and give you the rights to sell it. Now my business will grow and so will my income. The big thing for me and my new business would be to get it in front of you, so you can make an informed choice to buy it. If you don't know about it, you cannot buy it.
To start your business on the internet you must know yourself. You have to know what you are willing to do to succeed, and what you are willing to spend in order to succeed. I read somewhere that if free advertising is so super successful, then how come paid advertising even exists. I want to be brutally honest with you, if you want to be successful on the internet, you have to be prepared to invest in your business. If you have no idea about online marketing, let me give you some sound advice. Search for an online business oppertunity in the search engines, pick three of them and study their sales letters. Look at the bonusses they offer you, if the bonus has nothing to do with marketing try another system. Do a review search on the three systems.Look specifically for bad reviews, read through the reviews carefully, when you find three reviews that complain about the same problem, discard the system. If you find three bad reviews that are all complaining about different things, you can be assured that the people are not adapted to what the system suggests. See if any one of these coplaints is something you could complain about. If so, you can be assured that you would not benefit from this business sytem. You would just end up being another reviewer writing a bad review about the same thing. When you find a system that grabs you and does not have bad reviews about the same problem you can assume that it is a relatively good oppertunity. I say relative, because you will only find out once you start with the system. My second five star advise to you is this: Buy only this system, you might get oppertunities to upgrade inside, you might get more products to buy inside, be very carefull. I tell you now you have broken the reluctance to buy barrier by buying the system, you are now very vulnerable to secondary, or backend sales. In the backend sales I would tell you to buy only the thing that is going to directly make your income higher. For instance if there are three backend sales pages once you've bought the system, one sells another marketing book, don't buy it, if you picked the system right you will already have received a bonus marketing book. On the second page they offer you another product that you can buy the resell rights to, don't buy it yet. On the third page they offer you to upgrade to a higher membership. Your higher membership gives you the opertuinty to earn 75% commission in stead of 50%. This directly influences the commission you are going to make on this product, this upgrade you can buy. Now follow this system step by step, you might join safelists, or other marketing companies and through them you will receive tons of email all containing business oppertunities. Forget them. Forget the freebies they want you to download, leave it be, they are only going to sidetrack you and steal your time. Focus one hundred percent on the steps in your own system. buying other systems and other products are not going to increase your sales. Stay focused with what you've got. Do everything they suggest you do. When you have to pay for a marketing campaign, pay for it, you will always use it again if this particular system does not work for you. Stay with it, if they tell you spend an hour a day, spend two, this is your business. Learn everything you can from this system. Stick with it for at least three months. If you'v made no sales from that system, shelve it. DO NOT DELETE IT. Go to the second system that was in the three you picked out and follow the above routine. Only this time, insert the systems of the first product into the second product. In other words combine the two marketing strategies and market both the products. Give it another three months, and if nothing happens or sales are slow, go to the third system.
What you will find now, is that your name will be known, people will see your name and remember you from a previous campaign. You will have established yourself on the internet, and you will now have three products to add to three systems and now you will find that you have overcome the entrance phase of online business. Everybody will tell you it takes time to establish yourself, this is the time it will take to make money online. So don't beat yourself up if you see nothing happening before this. If you want to spend more money on your business, join marketing programs, systems that will get people to your sell page. not new business oppertunities, this is for later. Don't buy business oppertunities anymore, you can get thousands for free. After your third business system you've bought, you will be quite knowledgeable, about how the online business industry works. You can now start looking at creating your own products. Take your time, do your research, compile a professional product. Now you truly have your own business. Look at having an affiliate program to sell your product. now you are in the big leagues.
