To equip the teenagers for serious career advancements, the teens want to participate in workplace readiness achievement programs. These programs are designed to acquaint the teens on various aspects such as preparing for work and the work environment.
Throughout the year, the government sector is conducting various workplace readiness achievements programs aimed to develop the teens for employability and to acquire the needed occupational skills. Ultimate objective is to help at risk-youth prepared for full time employment. In partnership with various lead agencies and the private sector, on the job-trainings are introduced with incentives on paid internship. Here, the teens are assisted to get the needed employment either in the government or private sector. In attaining this objective, various skills training are given to the participants.

To realize its vision of helping uplift the income of the family especially the poor, work readiness achievement programs are targeted in poverty stricken communities. This will make the program accessible to teenagers who are in dire need of this kind of assistance.
The entry of private sectors as sponsors help the program staff to design modules that makes the teenagers ready and suited to private employment, especially that the work principles in the private sectors are geared more on profitability in contrast to the government which is public oriented.
The schools, on the other hand are offering instructions on workplace readiness. Subjects related to professional ethics and etiquettes, résumé building, how to prepare for an interview, choosing the right careers and others are being incorporated in the curriculum. This way, the schools had already opened the eyes of the teenagers to the truth that finding real job is always a stiff competition among job applicants.


Participants to this program will find out that getting employment is one, to remain in the job is another. Here, the teens are taught on how to behave in the work environment, how to show respect to authorities even if the work structure is flat, how to earn respect from co-workers, supervisors and future employees.

Handling proper communication is also given emphasis in the work readiness achievement program for teens. The teenagers are encouraged to develop leadership styles by learning the best way to communicate. With proper communication, the teens can properly connect to their co-workers and maintain a harmonious working relationship. Studies show that proper communication plays a vital role in the work place by making it responsive to given situations. The teenagers are taught how to make communication to be more appropriate and less demanding to command respect and obedience.

The workplace readiness achievement program is also incorporating ideals allowing the teenagers to look at what they will become in the future. Here questions like what become of you after five years in your job are commonly inquired. The purpose is to make the teenagers consider that they are not only future workers, but also future policy makers and leaders.

To make the workplace readiness achievement program successful, there must be a joint effort among the schools, the government, private agencies and prospective employers. Each one must contribute its part to lead the teenagers to become useful and productive citizens. It could not be denied that teens want to advance themselves personally and professionally, and in attaining this, all hands must be extended to support these teenagers.
