We all want to be loved

If you have never watched the movie “Don Juan DeMarco” starring Johnny Deep, you should see as soon as possible. This movie is about a man who is the greatest lover in the world and people are trying to cure him of it. When I was watching the movie, he made me open my eyes when he said,

“There are only four questions of value in life, Don Octavio. What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same: only love.”

I would have never thought of that--not in a million years. This movie sends a good message to everyone: There is no cure for love. It’s impossible to lose sight of love because it’s a feeling that is beyond our control. Sure we can control our emotions or desires. If we fall in love with someone for some reason, we can’t do anything about it. The more time you spend with someone, the more you realize that you might fall in love with this person.

Back to the movie—Don Juan is very pure at heart. All he wanted is to find true love and he did that with a woman before he was in the mental institution. Fortunately, the psychiatrist realized that is no cure for this and took him back to the woman he loves.
