With a staggering number of people having joined the MySpace bandwagon (over forty million people) it is no surprise that there are probably just as many people lining up around the block to get themselves one of the MySpace profiles.

Not that it is very difficult. All you really need to do is to fill up the form provided by MySpace on their “Sign Up” page and follow their three simple steps to creating MySpace profiles, to become an official member of MySpace. It’s also free to be a member on MySpace so you should have no worries on that score either.

And if you’re a budding musician you will find that MySpace caters to you as well, and that you have a separate MySpace profile than that of the normal one. This means that you can have two MySpace profiles with which to have fun.

Your normal profile can be used to conduct your normal activities and communications with your friends and family, and your Music profile can be used solely to put your own music on the MySpace pages.

If you are going to have two different MySpace profiles, and are going to use both of these for their respective purposes, you will want to first make sure that you have read all the Terms and Conditions properly.

For instance, you will find that for both of these MySpace profiles, you are absolutely prohibited from uploading songs and music of any kind which is copyrighted. And the only time that you can do that will be if you have the express permission of the copyright owner to do so.

And contrary to what we may think, buying a song through the internet, or buying a CD from the stores does not enable us to upload these songs to MySpace. Express permission is what you need, and without that you can be thrown out f the MySpace pages forever.

This applies especially to the Music profile. Of the MySpace profiles available this profile is geared towards the budding musician, not music fans or people wanting to pass off someone else’s music as their own. So if you’re getting a Music profile, be prepared to have your material scrutinized for copyright infringements first.

All in all though, it doesn’t really matter whether you get one MySpace profile, or two distinctly different MySpace profiles. What matters is the fact that you can now easily keep in touch with all of your friends and family, and keep them up to date with the things that are going on in your life, and you can do the same as well.
