A year has passed by and it seems that 2007 came not so long ago and now it has come to an end already! Remember all those New Year resolutions we vowed to honor this year… Oh! Alas! The year has ended already and we never got a chance to get to them…
Whatever the resolutions, hope, dreams or plans you may have had for 2007, reality is, it’s now- long gone. The real question right now is, are you going to carry forward those resolutions to year 2008, come up with new resolutions OR could there be another option???
Reality is, we all want to make some changes for a better life, to be a better person that we know we are and we deserve to have. But, we’re all guilty of waiting for the so called ‘perfect timing’ to get to it.
So why not try on a new approach this year. After all, there’s no harm in trying since another year is sure to come at the end of this one.
In year 2008, be kind to yourself! Don’t worry about those things you wished you completed but couldn’t, the people you wanted to visit but didn’t seem to have the time or the time you wanted to take to relax with your family that you knew you will do, but oh no, you ultimately didn’t get around to doing.
This year, just BE! Enjoy the moments that you do spend with people, meet people when the thought crosses your mind or if their too far away make a phone call at least so that you acted on those thoughts without putting them aside for another time.
Live every minute of everyday as it comes your way without worry or hassle. What you will soon realize is you weren’t too busy for people, is just that certain things were important at the time and that’s why you weren’t able to follow the plan.
Plans are good, but remember that plans do change and there is no harm in that.
What matters most is that you were true to yourself and you lived every moment of every day in the year doing what was needed to be done at the time.
Then, when year 2008 comes to an end, instead of disappointments and broken promises you’ll enjoy the feeling of truly living an year the best way it could have possibly be lived – And you enjoyed every minute of it too!!!
