It is a surprise to your close friends or family members if you give him a hand-made Christmas gift created by yourself. Parents and grandparents particularly love these gifts because they know the time, attention, and love that you spent in your making.

There are two easy things that you can make as follow:

1. Your pictures, but not just any old ones.

First, you should make a framework for your pictures. Find a nice larger block of wood and then sand that piece of wood down smoothly. After that you can coat it with your favorite color. You can leave the wood natural as well if you like.

Second, you can cover the framework with a few coats of clear sealant. It will act like glue when the last coat has started to dry, it will become sticky. So you can place your picture centered on the wood and press it down firmly to make sure there are no air pockets underneath. After several hours, when the sealant completely dry, you can cover the entire thing with another few coats of clear sealant

You can use a family picture or the picture of your collage to finish your project. It is convenient for hanging if you can attach a small wire or cord to the back

2. Ornament pictures.

This idea is done as the same as the above one. However, the main difference is you'll make Christmas tree ornaments out of your pictures. First you should prepare some pieces of light, flat woods, and then cut it into the shapes and sizes you want. Paint these woods in different colors and put the pictures on them using glue to apply the pictures over the painted wood. Drill a small hole on the top of the wood piece and thread some pretty matching ribbons through for hanging.
