Although the skin is waterproof, tough, self-repairing, and self-renewing, it is still prey to minor ailments and infections. Moles, blisters, and rashes all respond to alternative therapies.

Moles are spots of skin pigment cells (melanocytes) that can be a tiny dot or measure up to 1/3in/8mm across.

Treatment

Changes such as an increase in size, a wobbly edge, irregular pigmentation, a paler halo around the mole, a "daughter" mole near by, itching, crusting, or bleeding should be reported to a physician at once. Black or very dark moles should also be evaluated by a physician.
