Does your IT guy have the confidence to put his name in adverts?
05th February 2006
I was scanning the local free advertising supplement today (primarily checking out the opposition), however noticed something that may have escaped your attention.
Most of the advertisers for computer support did not give their name, neither did they name themselves in a subsequent telephone call until I asked the direct question, and even then only got first names.
Do these people have something to hide??
A good policy is to be contactable and accountable. With this in mind, I never do business with someone who I cannot identify readily. Any person in business who is reputable has nothing to hide, so why are these people concealing their identity?
I think this is a clear case of caveat emptor (buyer beware).
