e-book' you might have thought it was a book with
information on virus protection. Or maybe you thought it
was a way a hacker could infect your computer? Well, I am
glad to say that is not the case. What is true is that
viral marketing is fast becoming a great way to generate
sales and traffic for your business. If you are a home
based business and know little about internet marketing,
this is an easy way to make use of it without really
understanding it.You don't need to know everything about
electricity to light up a dark room- you simply need to
know how to turn on the light switch.
A viral e-book is a book that can be passed from one person
to another (thus the term viral) to bring profits for each
party at every turn. An e-book that contains links to
affiliate products will have a viral effect. When the
reader follows a link and purchases the product being
displayed there, the affiliate gets a commission for the
sale.
If the creator of the e-book allows people to sell or give
away the same e-book on their website, and those people
replace the links with some of their own links (called
re-branding), then the book gets more and more widely
distributed. That means more and more people in addition
to the original e-book provider start to make money on the
Internet.
The book should be able to hold it's own as far as being an
informative piece, with links that are added sparingly, as
a way for the reader to get more information about the book
subject or one that is related. Another option is a link to
a product. As long as the e-book isn't infested with links,
the viral e-book is a good way to increase traffic and
sales.
