How it works
Some one does a search for widgets on Google and the search string provides all of the web based results of the keyword search. On the right side of the page there are additional listings which are sponsor or paid listings. If some one clicks on one of those listings and buys the product or service, you as the affiliate will receive an agreed upon commission for the sale. This is all pretty basic stuff and there are many who are already making a living either advertising with keywords or selling information about how to buy keywords and advertise. It's quite an industry within itself.
