Will my vehicle be insured?

This type of coverage is usually standard practice but would be something that you definitely would want to check out, because if the company you are considering go in with does not at least have this, you'll want to go on to the next company.

What do I do if my vehicle gets damaged?

Documentation is key to protecting your asset. Take pictures of the vehicle before it was loaded onto the transporter. That way, if any damage does occur during transport you will be able to prove that it was not there before transit. Next you need to contact the company with documentation of the damage and start the claims process.

What is door-to-door service?

Some auto transport companies offer, what is called door-to-door service, which is where the transporter will come directly to your door and pick up the vehicle and drop it off at another address you specify. This is a service and does cost a little bit more but if the company you are going with offers this service it will cut a lot of time out for you.

It is very convenient not to have take your vehicle to a terminal and just have it picked up right in front of your house.

Will my car be driven?

The auto transport driver will have to drive your vehicle to load it, to unload it, and may have to load and unload during transit to make other drops.

Can I put items in my car?

Most auto transport companies do not allow you to put unauthorized personal items in your vehicle. This is because if you put high dollar items in the vehicle it makes your vehicle a target for theft.
