SPiN Launches Online Forum
March 17th 2006, SPiN publicly launches it's first online business forum and in the process brakes new ground for business networking organizations. SPiN- Super Powerful Networking is the first business networking organization, which brings its members together in weekly chapter meetings, to offer a public online business forum that is attached to the website.
When asked to comment on the importance of this new online component Erik Davenny, President of SPiN responded, "We believe this online tool will help continue the masterminding work our members do during their weekly chapter meetings. We want this to be not something they do once a week for an hour, but a concept that they utilize everyday of the week."
Critics have said that this is just another online forum that is based around business and that there is nothing new or exciting about it. When Davenny was asked how he saw SPiN as breaking new ground, he replied, "Yes, online forums have been around for several years. However, SPiN has broken new ground in regards to the fact that no large business networking organization has offered one like this before. Not only to their members privately but also open to the public to read and make postings. Most importantly, we are continually striving to utilize technology to build the strong alliances between all of our members. We see this as a major step forward from the more traditional events membership organizations host."
