Bulls, Shopping trolleys and apples: all typical car insurance claims!

The AA studied around 180,000 different claims made by the British public and a large percentage were regular claims, bumps and bangs are a normal claim made by people everyday but there are times when insurers must question whether the claims are true. However, these are genuine claims made during 2007.

The first bizarre car insurance claim is about a man who had unexpected shower, unfortunately for him the it was a shower of apples which damaged the his car. The next unusual claim was a women who was driving behind a truck transporting shopping trolleys, unluckily for the women, the truck malfunctioned and the trolleys tipped over her car causing thousands of pounds in damage.

When people buy their cheap car insurance , they buy their policies not expecting the unexpected but these revelations prove that strange things happen in everyday life. Claims recently made include a man who was unable to hold in his sneeze and crashed into a church wall and one man got extra clean when he drove into a car wash, the brush got stuck in the door and as he opened his door to press the emergency button the machine jammed and wrote off his car and the car wash!

One of the most unusual claims there has been was a women who got herself into a spot of bother as she found herself with a bull on top of her car, the animal has burst through a fence and on to the top of the car, fortunately the women and the bull were unharmed but the car was wrecked. It will be interesting to see what their cost of their motor insurance will be in the future.

The moral of the story is be prepared for all eventualities when buying your car insurance so if you are unfortunate enough to be the next victim of a strange accident, you will be covered.
