Insiders’ Guides launched in October 2006, it is unlike the majority of sites that you will come across on the internet. Run by members of the forum for everyone out there, using their own individual knowledge and experiences to present visitors to it with information about cities and music in a way that people want to see it.

Insiders' Guides won’t bamboozle with over complicated and irrelevant information, it's written by the members in a way they are comfortable with the knock on effect of this is an easy to use friendly site.

The City Guides came first and already we have completed guides to Birmingham and York, these guides are written by people that have explored the cities, looked for hidden gems others may miss and offering ideas that may just pass others by.

The success of the City Guides led to us thinking of how we could expand the site, as a result in April 2007 along came the music guides. Put away your copy of NME or Kerrang because once you have seen these guides you won’t need them again. That may be a big claim but we offer so much you will soon see it’s justified. Each week 3 new albums, 1 golden oldie and 10 singles are reviewed. The difference between these reviews and those you read in magazines are these are written by music lovers that are passionate about music, they are written by the music buying public and reflect that in the way they are done. We don’t just do the big commercial releases as you will see when you investigate, we are committed to finding the best new and exciting unsigned talent in the country; this has been recognised by us sponsoring an award at the Glasswerk New Music awards last October.

2008 is a new year and with that comes a new look for Insiders' Guides, we want to give you all the information and background we can, to enable this to happen we are adding artist profiles so you know more about who you are listening to.
