Once you have created a landing page on your own website, you will need to send traffic to your landing pages so that you will be able to track your conversion. Your landing page should have only one call to action and that is to either join your list or to leave your website. Once you have created it, you will need to send traffic to your website.

It is important that you send in targeted traffic to your website so that you will be sure that they are looking for the solution that you are offering. It will be a complete waste of your time and effort if you are sending untargeted traffic. Some examples of untargeted traffic are those website that promises guaranteed hits to your website if you purchase their package.

Some of the best methods to get targeted traffic to your website are press release, article marketing, pay per click marketing etc. Once you have start sending targeted traffic to your website, you will need to track the conversion of your landing page. If you have create a proper opt in page, you should expect your conversion to be between 10% to 60%. You should redirect your subscriber to your affiliate link or promote the affiliate product to them in the thank you page.


By the average statistics, you should get at least one sales for every 100 people that have opt in to join your list they should be exposed to your affiliate product once they have join your list. If you are sending in untargeted traffic, you will not get any sales even if you have 1000 hits to your website as most hit are most probably not from real people.

If you are taking consistent action in sending targeted traffic to your website, you will only need to worry about the conversion of your opt in page. You should try to change your opt in page consistently so that you will be able to achieve the 40% conversion rate. This should be the most basic conversion that you should aim for.

Once you have a good conversion for your landing page and you are sending in targeted traffic on a consistent basis, you will see that your affiliate marketing will go on to the next level. So stay focus on only sending targeted traffic to your website.
