You couldn't believe how exciting it was to see your first sale. All that activity when you set up your business has paid off as you saw the sales come in. There excitement and relief as you know your marketing activities work.

Do not let all your hard work building your website, writing articles, buying traffic, generating traffic, sending emails and all the other things you did to generate sales go to waste by sitting back during your second month and doing nothing. Yes, what you have done so far has worked and that's great, but it only worked because you worked, you made it happen. If you do nothing, you will get nothing.

So, go back to the drawing board, evaluate what you did, from your test results work out what worked well and what didn't and plan your next month from there. Perhaps you could write an article on how well your first month went, what worked and what didn't as I am sure others in your situation would want to know of your success and more importantly, how your success was achieved.

You will appreciate the importance of recording and testing any marketing techniques when it comes to analysing the results the following month. If you have no recording and testing information to look back at you will have no idea where to spend your marketing budget the following month, for maximum impact.

Widening your marketing mix will make sure you keep ahead of the ever changing 'internet age' but make sure you test everything you do so you only spend your budget on things that work.

It is essential to set aside specific time each day/week to actually work on writing articles, running pay per click campaigns and so on will help to maintain momentum and keep sales coming in. Also, try to maintain some activities that work well as your 'bread-and-butter' and then have one other activity that you experiment with so you can build up your overall marketing mix.

Training put together by business owners who are successful themselves can prevent lots of wasted time and money by only spending your marketing budget on what you know works. Training should always be seen as a real investment in your business. Never see training as anything other than an investment into your business as it can save you lots of time and money in the long run by not wasting your efforts on marketing that doesn't work well.

There are lots of software programs which you can use to put your website together more professionally and therefore boost your online sales. Using software like sales letter generators, keyword generators and web link generators can really boost sales. All these kinds of software can boost your search engine rankings and skyrocket your sales, they just need a regular amount of work each day/week to really see some consistent results.
