Here's what I gathered from my own research. True Flow air intake systems are a unique departure from traditional air intake systems.

Before I dive straight into the quick and easy steps that it takes to install both True Flow intakes that are available to get a performance boost under the hood, here's some background on why I though their brand was pretty strong. There are several to choose from these days so I wanted to really know that I could trust and believe in what I was throwing under the hood.

Here's what I gathered from my own research. True Flow air intake systems are a unique departure from traditional air intake systems. The factory air box is left intact keeping the airflow cooler while protecting the filter from debris and moisture. The factory filter is replaced with one of True Flow's foam, high-flow, lifetime filters. Finally, True Flow eliminates the factory air tube, which can have restrictive mufflers or resonators, and replaces them with the high-flow, powder-coated, mandrel-bent tubes and reinforced silicone couplers for maximum velocity.

True Flow kits are easy to install and maintain so I'll let you know the easy 5 step process to do so. Each kit contains the necessary hardware required to install. No modifications are needed, and all factory breathers, sensors and hoses are left intact.

Here's one fun fact you should know:
One reason stock air intakes are so restrictive and oddly shaped is noise reduction. When you replace this with a high-flow pipe, your engine growl will increase slightly. The noise is not overpowering, and will not drown out your conversations or music.

Not only is a performance air intake one of the most essential upgrades to your vehicle, it happens to be one of the easiest additions to install. With little more than a common socket set, a couple of screwdrivers and half an hour's time, you can have your new air intake in place and ready to roar.

Detailed instructions are included with every intake kit. These instructions go through:
1. The simple process of removing your stock intake system (including the tube and air box)
2. Installing the new air intake in just a few minutes to stock mounting positions.
3. No cutting, drilling or other modifications are required.
4. What you do with your limiting stock intake next is, well, up to you.

For more info on True Flow and my favorite intake that they make, the True Flow XDI, hit the search engines and you'll be able to find out more info on several discussion forums and other articles.
