When you are using multiple Outlook accounts and want to use a single account you need to import all your .PST files into that account. Your .PST files contain messages, files, and other items stored in folders. These files are either stored on your computer’s hard drive or on a file server accessible to you.

You need to follow this procedure to merge a PST file called Mailbox.pst with a version from a backup also named Mailbox.pst. You need to be careful so as to prevent overwriting the PST files having the same filename. You need to follow these steps:

1. Create backup files of both PST files.
2. Then rename the restored version of Mailbox.pst to Mailbox1.pst.
3. Then copy Mailbox1.pst to the directory which contains the working version of Mailbox.pst.

4. After that add Mailbox1.pst to your active profile using the process described in steps 5 to 8.
5. Go to the Tools menu in the Viewer, then Click on Option and press the Services tab.
6. In The Following Information Services Are Set Up In This Profile dialog box or field, click on Personal Information Store, and then click on Add. Go to In The Following Information Services Are Set Up In This Profile Box, click on Personal Information Store and then on Add.
7. In the Available Information Services box, click on Mailbox1.pst and then click on OK.
8. You need to keep clicking the OK button until all open dialog boxes are closed.

After this you will be able to see two Personal Folders on the left side of Microsoft Exchange client. You should now see two Personal Folders icons on the left side or pane of the Microsoft Exchange client. After the process is finished, you will have your old .PST files merged with the current .PST files.

Sometimes during merging process .PST files may get corrupted or damaged. When you try to access them, they will not open. You will need to use Outlook Pst repair software to recover the corrupted or damaged .PST files.
