With any investment, whether promoted in person, by mail, telephone, or on the Internet, a wise investor should always slow down, ask questions, and get written information. Take notes so you have a record of what you were told, in case you have a dispute later.

Here is a list with a few points you need to check before you invest your hard earned money in any "Internet Business". Do everything on this list and do it well and you will dramatically decrease your odds of becoming a "Internet Scam Victim".

The first thing you need to check out is the "offer". If they make claims like "Get rich quick" or "Make money while you sleep, automatically with no effort" they are most likely to take your money and leave.

You can get a pretty good idea just by looking at the headline of their home page. Don't just take the word of the headline though. There are a lot of magnetic headlines even for scams online today. Be very careful.

Always be aware of programs that only sell "the opportunity to make a lot of money". There are probably 1000's of people around the Internet that tell you that there isn't a way to get rich quick with no work. Thrust these people who ever they are, because they are right. I don't mean that you should thrust them with everything else but if they tell you "No Way" they are right.

The key to making a lot of money online or offline is by first learning how to market then apply that to whatever you are selling. There are a lot of really good information that you can read on this topic. Just go to google and put in the search term "Internet Marketing", you will get a lot of results.

Warning! a lot of "Scam Sites" will have the phrase "Internet Marketing" in their keywords or some where on the site it self. So there will be a lot of them in the results you get if you go to a search engine and search for "Internet marketing".

It's always good to read the sales letter of sites even though you think they are scams. This will make you more and more aware of how what's "real" and what's not.

Just don't fall for the temptation of investing or buying any of there products before you do your research.

One good way to look up a business opportunity is to go to a SE (Search Engine) and put in the name of the site you want to look up. There are always someone who have paid the fee or bought that product and they are the best ones to tell you if it's real or just another scam.

If someone says it's not bogus and that you should invest, be aware. If they give you a link to the sight through anything else then the original url they are probably just trying to get referrals so they can get paid. If someone tells you it's not a good idea then it probably isn't

One really critical think to watch out for is the price. Try to avoid everything that tells you it's just $20/month, $50/month or any other price as long as it is once a month. If they don't provide you with regular new information or new products every month then don't join. Don't pay for nothing.

If you must join any of these programs or businesses then go for something with a one time fee, this way if you get ripped of you haven't lost as much as if you would if you paid for several month's. Don't ever empty your wallet on these programs. They just wont work!

If you follow these few check's every time you want to invest in some "Internet Business" you will find out for yourself that there isn't any that really would pass these check points.

The best way to make money online is to create your own product and sell it.
