Are you struggling with your online business? I wrote this article with you in mind. You're probably thinking there has got to be a better way. There is a horrible amount of hype, BS and lies that can lure you in. This of course has severe side effects. Ever gotten the feeling that you are being lied to? You're probably right. Listening to these lies will kill your chances of having a successful business.

Often the truth is hidden by a blanket of lies so lets get some of these common lies you hear about out in the open.

Lie # 1 Every one is a prospect.
If they can fog a mirror then it's for them. I used to hear that one at every training. They want this they just don't know it yet. This could be the biggest lie of all and the quickest way to fail in your business. Every heard of the 3 foot rule. If someone is within 3 feet of you. That is baloney.

Do you really want to chase after people and waste precious time going after people that are not even wanting or needing what you have to offer? A smart business person will research for the people that are actively seeking and needing this product or service. Until they go out of their way there not a player in the game and not worth going after.

Do you think Bill Gates and Donald Trump try to grow their businesses by talking to people at gas station or grocery stores? No they don't and neither should you.


Lie #2 Making Money On The Internet Is Easy And Any One Can Do It.
Ever read the ads that say... turn-key marketing system - We do all the work for you. The plain and simple truth is...just like any business it takes work to build a strong thriving business. You need to be committed and willing to do what it takes. You will end up spending less time once you have mastered the skills to market successfully online. If you have a quality marketing system, yes you can excel faster but you need to be willing to put time and effort in your business when starting out.

Lie #3 We don't sell just share.
People are smarter then that. They know when they are being sold to and don't appreciate the lack of honesty when told I am not selling to you. You're setting your self up for failure when you're not learning sales skills and training one needs when they are selling. There is nothing wrong with selling anyways unless you have a poor quality product or service. Its a great feeling when you have people coming to you to help solve a problem they have.

Lie #4 You Can Start a business For $30.00 and make 100,000. a month.
I am blown away at some of these surveys people fill out looking for a business opportunity. They want to make 10K and more a month only want to put in 5 hours a week and don't want to invest any money. Thats crazy! Sounds like they are looking for a job to me. Starting a business does take an investment of money and time. I'll admit, one can start an lucrative online business for a very low investment but it does take some investment. There's no free lunch!

Lie 5 Just think positively and you will succeed.
Don't get me wrong having a good attitude and how you think will determine whether you are successful or not. It is essential. Investing in your personal growth is vital for a successful business, but you have to do the activities that are money generating activities. You need to be consistent and do those activities every day. The point I am trying to get across is you cant just visualize and dream about you goals each day without doing something about it. You won't attract those things in your life unless you take consistent action.

Lie 6 The product sells itself
The only product that sells itself is drugs. When people join you, they're not just joining for the products, they are joining because of their confidence in YOU. How will you lead them and help them grow their businesses?

To be honest with you, I have been a victim of every single one of these lies I listed here in this article and some for quite a while. It seemed right to me. These lies can be very convincing. One needs to have a open mind and look to see how these beliefs and ideals are affecting their business and other areas of their life. I hope this has given you an insight into these common lies you see in network marketing and business opportunities. Know that there is a better way to do it.
