In between November to January is the best time to visit Mali. Mali has variety of attractive places for the visitors like Timbuktu and its sandy masteries, Niger river(you can go for a boating in the wavy Niger). You just fall in love with the giant sized mud-built mosques, lots of camel caravans across the desert.

Bamako:
Bamako located in the south-west part of the country. It is the largest city and also the capital of Mali. Timbuktu

Located in the southern side of Sahara desert and around 13km away from north of Nigar river Timbuktu has a historical importance as as a post on the trans-Saharan caravan route. Now it is the administrative center of Mali. Here you can find some beautiful historical mosques and tombs which are established in 14th century. Camel and Boat is main mode of transportation in Timbuktu but air service is also available.
Some well known hotels at Timbuktu are Hendrina Khan Hotel, Hotel Colombe, La Maison etc.

Mopti
Mopti is near to Bamako and Timbuktu. It is the heart of tours industry of Mali.located in the joint of the Bani rever and the Nigar river and also spread into three islands. The most of the dwellers of Mopti are traders thats why it becomes a marketplace. You can buy here many things, jewelery to leather stuffs, masks, wedding blankets, clothes etc etc.


Djenne is a very small island city in Bani river. Largest mud brick structure is situated here which is also very unique Muslims architecture ever made.

Bandiagara/Dogon
Bandiagara is sandy plateau situated in the south-east of Mopti and popular for its sandstone cliffs. The Dogon inhabitants are build up their villages by sandstone cliff which is run for about 200km. In Bandiagara you can stay at Campement Hotel Sangha which is located in rural area or at Hotel Cheval Blanc.
