The popularity of digital cameras is increasing rapidly. Being a scrapbooker, I have discovered that it is much easier to store and organize digital photos rather then regular photos. Here is how I chose to organize them.

As soon as you load your pictures onto your computer, create a few new folders. Copy and paste photos by date and event. I like to take this a step further and copy and paste what photos I want to have per layout. So when it is time to scrapbook, I simply view my folders and choose which one I would like to work on. Next I count how many pictures the folder contains and create a layout that would work for that amount of pictures. I decide which size I would like to print the photoyou cannot do that with normal film processing. Next I print photos I wish to work with.

When using digital photos, you can trim or change the color on your photos. Think sepia photos would be more attractive than a scattered colored photo? No problem, just go to your photo editing program and change the coloring. If the subject of your photo isn't centered properly or a distracting image found it's way into your picture, you can use your photo editing program to crop or zoom in. Digital photo is the only way to go! They are much easier to work with and the only space they take up is computer space!
