All to often we come across Ads and links that claim that we can make a bundle of cash taking online surveys. They lure us in and we get cought in there web, But we are only human and lets face it, who wouldn't want to make a few bucks doing nothing but answering some questions. Truth is there are a lot of survey websites out there that actually charge you to take there surveys, Charge you!!! Yes that is right, they want you to pay them so you can do their work. Doesn't sound fair does it? Of course not. Which is why i developed a short little list of helpful hints to avoid scams and to turn you into a survey taking monster.
1. Use a separate email account, setup specifically for online survey taking. This is an almost “must” since privacy is so important these days, This will put you more into the drivers seat. This will help you increase your speed and let you manage your surveys a lot better than sorting through your personal mail.
2. Read the Privacy Policy’s. . A lot of times they will send your name to there affiliate networks, and soon you’ll be inundated with spam mail. Trust only those that claim to be spam free and actually use the words in there privacy policies.
3. NEVER buy into an online survey company, they should pay you for the time and work you put into there company. Not the other way around.
4. Most surveys will give you a time frame of how long it will take to complete them, most if not all can be done in far less time. So don't be afraid to complete those 45 minute long surveys, because most of the time it will take only 25 minutes or so.
5. Complete all possible surveys that a site offers. The survey companies want and will give the best surveys to those who participate in every single opportunity. Filling out Profile surveys will also put you on the map to success as well. Not only will profile surveys let you shine they companies usually offer rewards just for completing them.
6. Be wary of survey sites that claim you can make $25-$75 or more dollars per survey. Most of these sites charge for membership and you will never make back even a fraction of the cost it is to join.
7. Take advantage of focus groups. The rewards can range from $20-$80 dollars For just an hour or so of work (if you can call it that).
8. MOMS!!! You are for the most part the key demographic that will be targeted for surveys. Reason is you make the most (if not all) purchase decisions in the household (sorry dad’s your not actually wearing the pant’s in the family ). You know your food item brands, your cleaning item brands, ect…ect…
9. Join as many sites as you possibly can so you can increase your earning potential. Let’s face it some of the better sites only send out 1-4 surveys a month, some sites will send out more than 20 so join as many sites as you can handle. But remember they are counting on you for accurate information, so be thorough.
10. Look a program that will fill out registration information for you and that also remembers your passwords. This will cut down tons of work if you plan on joining a lot of sites.
