Writing an ebook is just the first step in the process of marketing and selling your ebook on the internet. One great way to make this go more smoothly is to use forums and groups to promote your work. These are some ways to use forums and groups to promote yourself and your ebook.
Go over to Google or any search engine and type in your topic or niche, along with the words group or forum after it. This will bring up the names of many of these sites that you can get started with. You will have to search several different ways to find the ones that are most closely related to what your ebook is about.
Start with a broad search and then narrow it down. For instance, you may want to search for women of a certain age and then search for women who square dance. Spend some time with this until you find two or three forums that sound appealing.
Visit these sites to see how they work. You will be able to register for free and spend time reading other posts. Do not join in any discussions until you have spent time reading what the people there are talking about.
Your signature line will be the only way you will be able to promote your website or blog and what it is that you do. Make sure you have a good tag line to go after your name and website. Look at other people's signature lines to get some ideas.
When you finally post a reply to someone's post, make sure you are answering their question or helping them to solve a problem. You are not trying to sell anything to them.
Once you find the groups and forums you want to be a part of, spend some time each week ready the posts and joining in on the discussions. Soon you will find that people will come to you to find out more about your ebook.
