You can claim your economic stimulus check amounting to $300, $600 or $1,200 plus $300 per child but you must file your 2007 tax return first on April 15, 2008. You can file your 2007 taxes online via the Internal Revenue System’s e-file program. You can receive your tax refund in your bank account within 8 days upon filing.

The sooner you file your return, the better. If you are filing your tax return for the sole purpose of claiming this tax refund, you can do so at no cost through the IRS e-file system.

This economic stimulus check is computed based on your income in 2007. It will depend on factors such as your marital status, how many children you have and your earnings last year. You should have earned at least $3,000 in 2007 in order to qualify for this refund.
