My pick for
Chicago Sports player whiner of the year was not a tough one. The Bulls have had an awful year and given the fans a lot to complain about. But players who make millions of dollars to play a little game should give a more respecatable show on the court. There is little that will annoy me more then seeing guys whine about fouls over and over and over again. Some of you may assume I am speaking about a different Chicago Bull. But no, this player even out whines Kirk Hinrick. I have watched Chicago Sports more than most and no one comes close to complaining as much as Andre Nocioni. Each time he is whistled for a foul he puts on a big show. It drives me crazy. I turn the channel. Nocioni is somewhat of a fan favorite in the Chicago Sports world and I just do not get it. I think defensively he is awful, and although he sometimes gets going offensively he is nothing special. I get why people in Chicago, a blue collar town, want to love the player. He gives the idea that he is gritty but lets be honest. If you went to work and showed passion for all the "fouls" you made, would that make you " a fan favorite" around the job? He needs to play the game tough and understand that fouls happen. Even if it is not a good call let it go. The Chicago sports world needs more players who just shut up and play. Do you recall Michael Jordan complaining about fouls? And that certainly does not mean that he did not play defense. I think he won around 9 defensive player awards. And when was the last time you heard an official change a call? Why waste your time? It does not stop them from blowing the whistle next time either by the way. If anything I think they search for the players that are constantly whining to get them to understand that tactic doesn't work. So please Nocioni have some sense and play the game hard but for the sake off all Chicago Sports fans ... quit whining.
