Hi this is my first article on this site I would like to talk about how to get the most money from the sale of your car van or truck, and how to sell it as quickly as possible,
Some of the things here will appear so obvious, But you might be suppressed by how many times they are forgotten or simply not undertaken.
It's an old saying but "first impressions count" so make sure your car is clean for any photos or viewings, this includes the inside as well, you could get a valet but this can cost, you can do a good job your self with some time and effort. On the outside wash the car and then apply a good polish, clean the wheels, Do not forget the glass as mucky windows look bad,
if it has wheel trims make sure all four are there and are the same style! Make sure the tyre pressures are ok, and check the wipers are not split, all these things if done point to a well looked after car,

On the inside vacuum throughout, Take the mats out and clean them, replace them if they are worn, better no mats than tatty ones! If the car has been smoked in wipe the dash area and any other nonporous surface with a cloth dipped in warm water with a little lemon juice added, this will help lift the stale tobacco smell, for the upholstery but a commercially available foam cleaner from a motor factor. Check the condition of the rubber on the foot controls again a good condition set will help give the right impression. Clean the interior glass smoker or not it is likely to be dirty,
Collect any bills receipts etc to give the car some history the more the better, and check all documentation is in order
When offering a test drive make sure you see evidence of insurance, Never never let the person test drive the car alone you will not see it again. Go with them if you are unsure of going with a stranger take a fried along as well, this will not bother a genuine buyer, If the sale is agreed, For me the only options are Cash or cleared bank funds Take a cash deposit to hold the car but put an agreed time limit to complete the sale that is ok with you and the buyer,
